1. Introduction and Purpose

This manual is published in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000 (PAIA), which requires every private body to compile and make available a manual describing the records it holds and the process by which access to those records may be requested.

The purpose of PAIA is to give effect to the constitutional right of access to information held by both public and private bodies, to the extent that such access is required for the exercise or protection of any rights.

7. Grounds for Refusal

The Information Officer may refuse access to records on grounds permitted by PAIA, including but not limited to:

Any refusal will be communicated in writing with reasons, within the prescribed timeframe.

8. POPIA Relationship

This company processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Data subjects wishing to access, correct, or delete their personal information held by this company may do so directly by contacting the Information Officer — no PAIA request is required for personal information about oneself.
